    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course because every single day, I walked in and learned something new. I walked out of the classroom every day with more awareness of true history. West had the most passion I've ever seen from a professor and constantly challenged his students to enhance their writing and gave a practical step guide to do so. I was inspired, I was enlightened.

    Course highlights:

There was a story of a boy who was lynched that I will never forget. it was incredibly disturbing but I gained more compassion for minorities and passion for history. I learned so many new facts that were never given to me as a younger school attender. I loved writing his essay assignments because they were difficult, but after every one of them I was affirmed and praised. I finally learned that I could be a successful writer.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

For students planning to take this course, you must catch up on all of the reading, pay attention to his writing advice because it helps, and be prepared for extremely passion filled moments from West in the class discussions. You will gain passion as well, I promise you.
