    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I took the 8 week online course which was great because I could work on my assignments from anywhere at anytime, however, it was quite challenging and time consuming. If you're not ready for that time commitment I would recommend taking the full semester course

    Course highlights:

It's Kathy Green, idk why it wouldn't allow me to type in her whole last name. Anyways, she's an awesome teacher. Throughout her course she had us read several books that not only enlightened us but challenged us to think outside of the box more. I learned to be more curious about everything and the real value of things. Great course that challenges you to think from other people's perspectives.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you stay on top of your work if you choose the 8 week class. New essays and readings just about every week and discussions almost every day. Other than that it wasn't too hard and extremely enlightening for me.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Class discussions and topics were always on very interesting and intellectual topics. The professor was very passionate about her field of study and that passion spread through the class every time we discussed a reading or assignment. She had some amazing readings for us and essays that were equally just as interesting.

    Course highlights:

The majority of the readings she assigned were from a book called "Emerging" which was basically a collection of essays. Every single reading she assigned was very thought provoking and left the students with a lot to say, which made the class discussions a pleasure. In addition, a lot of the topics we discussed were things that we were able to relate to. Aside from the readings and discussions, Professor Martin's class vastly improved my essay writing skills. Over the course of the semester I was able to evolve my writing style and figure out my essay writing habits, in addition better skills when it came to the organization of an essay (which was my weak point).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend taking notes during the class discussions because we talk about topics that are going to be central themes for the essays and the class discussions really help when it comes to brainstorming. Also, Professor Martin isn't the easiest grader, she actually cares about the quality of your work/ writing and how much thought and effort you put into it. She's a bit of a difficult grader but nothing impossible, as long as you pay attention in her class during lectures and discussions, because they are extremely helpful. It also helps that most of her essays were on topics that we can very much relate to.
