    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The only reason I am not recommending this class more is because I took it during the summer. I wish that someone would have warned me how intense summer classes are at SCC. This is the second class I have taken with Legters. He is very straightforward and tests are directly from the lectures. As long as you show up to class, you should do well.

    Course highlights:

Really enjoyed the labs for this class. Especially the unknown project, which is when we were given 2 mystery bacteria. Using the skills we've acquired during the course of the quarter we had to identiify them. It was intimidating at first but it was like a fun puzzle that we had all the tools to solve.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take it during the summer.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because it is interesting and fun! Although challenging, I enjoyed learning about the tiny specimens naked to the human eye!

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed all the hands-on labs. During the labs you learn to utilize lab equipment you wouldn't use in any ordinary biology class. I love learning how to gram stain and understanding what the procedure really shows.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

While taking this course, it is important to read the text prior to attending lecture. This will give you an advantage during lecture, and help you understand it more thoroughly. Also, form study groups! Learning as a team is so much easier than learning by yourself, and it is fun too!
