Pretty easy, overall.
Its a general survey course of familiarizing yourself with he terminology of political science. With that, its brief in subjects and no deep dive takes place only in tangential discussion that happens when someone brings up a current issue in the political landscape. The only thing to look out for is the main research paper of the course and the exams. The professor will crack jokes almost every class and it makes the material even more enjoyable.
The intriguing group discussions where people of different backgrounds, especially those who have lived in alternative democratic states like autocracies, the opinion and critique of each was very interesting. Having taken the class during the 2016 election also provided an avenue to explore the current politics of America in a much more interactive way.

Advice for students:
Just participate in the group discussions and don't be afraid to be vocal, everyone around you will be novice at the material as well so nothing is really expected out of you other than providing sources for opinion and a logical to follow argument.
