Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would recommend to take Algebra II since it helps you a lot when the time to take the PSAT, SAT, and ACT comes. Algebra II covers most of what you will see on all of the Standarized testing because it combines Algebra I and Geometry (courses that you have to take before being able to take Standarized Testing). i would highly recommend to take Algebra II, it will really help!!
Course highlights:
I loved the fact that this class helped me a lot when it came to Standardized testing. Taking the PSAT, ACT, and SAT math section was sooo easier than I thought it would be, and I have never considered myself a math person, for it is always difficult to me. I learned how to calculate and graph lot of problems that; altought, it may seem like you'll never use this again, Algebra, and calculating stuff is in everything we do!
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
I would tell them to really pay attention in class, and that if you are feeling frustated or stressed out by something you can't seem to understand, talk to your teacher!! Also, remember that there is always collaborative learning, in which you can get help from people that have taken or understand this subject.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I would highly recommend this course because it gave me a basis for Pre-Calculus, and helped me understand what to expect.
Course highlights:
One thing, out of the many topics we discussed, was factoring. At first this idea was difficult for me to understand, but it eventually made sense. I'm very grateful to have learned this idea because we used it a lot in Pre-Calculus, and having known it before going into that class made everything a lot easier.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Take notes and actually do the homework. Sometimes students feel stressed out and only focus on completing the homework rather than understanding the material; however, you need to understand the ideas for the tests because those take a larger toll on your grade and it's better to fully understand the material anyway.
