Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course because I went in to the class not knowing a single thing about marine biology and walked out feeling like I had learned so much about the ocean. I had always been kind of afraid of the ocean but taking this course made me find a new appreciation for the ocean and the marine life within it.

    Course highlights:

My teacher made us keep a beach journal on a website that we created. We would have to go to the same beach once a month and observe the waves, weather, and the surrounding enviornment. I had to document the changes the marine enviornment would undergo throughout the year. It was great hands on learning.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Enjoy the learning process. If you really study the ocean, not just by reading a textbook but by going to a marine enviornment you'll enjoy the course alot more. Interact with the enviornment, really observe how the ocean works. This way you'll look at the ocean, not just for its beauty, but as the home for thousands of marine mammals and plant life.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking Marine Biology. I have gained a lot of knowledge in an area that I wouldn't normally have studied if it weren't for this course. Also my teacher always goes the extra mile and cares for his students.

    Course highlights:

Highlights were the field trips to the beach to collect data and see the marine habitats. I learned how various animals and organisms adapt to their environments.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Marine Biology is a course that may not be required, but it's a science that remarkable to understand, especially living near the beach or if you enjoy going to the ocean.
