    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is the most informative class I have taken at RCC. It took me out of my comfort zone but in the end I noticed a huge jump communication skills.

    Course highlights:

In this class there were many highlights. It was fun to see your own progression throughout the six week course. Each speech was something different and exciting because you the student were in control. I have learned a lot about the area of communications and more about myself than I knew.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If I were giving advice to a student looking into taking this course I would tell them it gets better. When students normally take a public speaking class it is out of their comfort zone. Once each student gets comfortable presenting speeches, the rest are a breeze.

This is an extremely useful course for gaining life skills. It forces you to get out of that shy shell you may have and interact with your classmates. A truly great experience that will be used everyday in life and will never stop being used.

Being able to hear all of the stories that the students share, and being able to share your own. You gain lifelong friends and get extremely close to your classmates from all the knowledge you gain for one another.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Open up! Be creative, and don't be afraid to speak in front of an audience.
