    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is the first class that we take in our nursing program. It's the fundamentals of nursing. If you don't understand the fundamentals you can't understand the rest. Its important to get this information down in order to move on in the program.

    Course highlights:

I'm learning the fundamentals of nursing. I'm gaining knowledge about the nursing field. learning vital signs, Assessments, Equipment, Positions and more. Then we get to take everything we learned in class into our school lab and then we go into the hospital setting and put our knowledge to use on real patients.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

You need time and dedication to pass this course. I went from working 6 days a week to only 2 days a week so that I could put in the 20-40 hours a week of studying that is needed for this course. You must be organized and flexable, you may think you have your week planned out for what your gonna study and when your gonna study and then they throw another assignment at you. You have to read. You wont pass this class only off of teacher lectures you must read and make your own notes and study all material.
