    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking CSC 210 with Veronica Yuen because she explains the lessons well and if something is unclear she will specify. She is very helpful during office hours and will help students with their programming assignments.

    Course highlights:

I was able to learn how to write programs that calculate things such as, the BMI (Body mass index) of a person, and area of shapes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay close attention during the lectures because majority of the homework and quizzes will be about the lesson.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Computer science 210 was a wonderful experience for those interested in programming. I myself had a blast learning how to make simple java programs ranging from an ATM simulator to a to do list simulator.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was definitely the hands on experience in coding - specifically java. I found it so fun being able to learn the language and applying each lesson to our assignments. There's something aesthetically pleasing in writing code, running the program, and watching it run smoothly.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It's definitely worth the experience for someone interested in java. In fact, android phones rely on java for its applications. If you think about it, it's actually amazing how lines of code can run a powerful phone such as the Samsung Galaxy S7. Also, once you learn java, pretty much any other language of code run the same principles/rules. You can easily learn other languages such as swift for IOS (apple products).

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class isnt hard if you go to class and pay attention.

    Course highlights:

She assigns hw, or suggested practice problems, that are straight from textbook that is not due.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Quizzes are from hw, and exams are from quizzes. Do suggested problems from book and its an easy class...if you can get by the boring lectures.
