Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this English class because of the professor. She takes the time to give back constructive feedback, signs students up for one on one help before the midterm and final essays, and really helps you improve on your writing skills by allowing you to determine which areas you need to work on and show how you have improved in those areas from the beginning of the semester to the end.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would be that for one of the essays that was assigned, we were instructed to annotate and analyze songs written by 2Pac, Beyonce, Kanye West, and other artists.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To the students that are considering this course, my advice would be to keep up with the work. When you are asked to annotate various articles, actually read them and try to find certain points in them that interest you or that you think are important. Every article she hands out is a potential source for the next essay that is assigned.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this class because it pushes you to work harder. The workload is intense, but very manageable. From this course I gained time management skills and my writing skills grew exponentially. Professor Holland gives you the freedom to explore your passions to keep you focused and pushes you to write more efficiently and effectively than you ever thought you could.

    Course highlights:

I gained immense time management skills as well as research and writing techniques. I loved that we could choose our own topics and work with other students in the class using an online anonymous review system.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is for students looking to improve their writing skills, who want a positive experience with peer review, and prepared for a bit of a challenge.
