    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Wouldn't recommend taking and English course online unless you are a full time student and/or good at time management.

    Course highlights:

I learned good writing skills as the professor is a tough grader when it comes to editing. If you don't feel strongly about your writing skills this summer course isn't a good idea as he doesn't have time you help you edit so you have to rely on your peers.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

There are discussion boards and reading due everyday sometimes even Saturday. Stay on top of the work, check in constantly and plan your time accordingly.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Hedgecock is an amazing English professor. She has really prepared me for upper division college writing, but she also provides engaging discussions and an interesting course. I always looked forward to her class.

    Course highlights:

This course focused on a long term research essay project on a specific topic, which helped me understand the depth of college-level research.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely work with your professor to plan out your essay and to solidify your thesis. Start early with basic pre-writing/drafts, and it will be much easier later in the course when you have to compile and consolidate your research.
