Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class teaches you the basic grammar and vocabulary to learn Japanese. It allows you to practice both your speaking and listening skills with a native Japanese professor and amongs peers also studying the language.

    Course highlights:

The teacher was very good about teaching the material, and making it easy to understand, and helping us improve our speaking skills.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The class takes time and dedication if you are really passionate about learning the language. Make sure to not only study your grammar and vocabulary, but to continuously study your kanji so you do not fall behind.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This school has helped me figure out what I want to major in while also letting me try classes without spending thousands of dollars.

    Course highlights:

The staff is helpful and passionate and are always willing to talk with you. I have never felt like a number at this school.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The social aspects of the school are lacking as it is a commuters school. In sum, it has been a great college and I plan on returning.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class gives you a great basis in the Japanese language and is paced perfectly.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed how the teacher would frequently stop to ask us questions in Japanese. It gives an excellent opportunity to receive feedback on spoken Japanese as well as practice what we know verbally.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Memorize katakana and hiragana immediately, by the end of the first month at the latest. It is practically the Japanese alphabet, and you'll really struggle if you don't know it before moving on to grammar concepts.
