Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend Chemistry to all high school students, mainly because Chemistry is a subject that everyone should be familiar with. It's defiantly more difficult than most sciences, but if you read your textbook and stay on top of the class work, you'll enjoy the class. I think the most important thing to do as you take chemistry is to ask questions- make sure you understand the material you are covering. Don't be afraid to have conversations with your teacher. The more you understand, the more you'll appreciate what you're learning about.

    Course highlights:

One of the most important things I gained during my time in Chemistry was a basic knowledge of the Periodic table of the Elements. I became familiar with the elements so that I could recognize them by their abbreviations and be able to easily figure out if they were ionic or covalent. I learned how to predict chemical reactions, which is important knowledge that everyone should learn at some point in time. Knowing Chemistry has helped me to appreciate the amazing world that we live in and the amazing Creator God I serve.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Chemistry is great way to get a physical science under your belt. Also, it's a hands on course, if you're looking for something that you can actively participate in . If you're considering a career in the medical field, i highly recommend taking chemistry in High school! It will help you to get a basic knowledge in preparation for medical school.

I would definitely recommend this course because it truly expanded my mind and assisted me in developing a greater appreciation for science.

    Course highlights:

Through this course, I learned that even if you don't necessarily enjoy science, it is still important to know it. The highlight of this course was the enjoyable relationship I developed with my teacher.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice regarding partaking in this course it to keep an open mind. Stay positive. Realize that it will further expand your knowledge, and, in the long run, assist you in using and discovering your passions to serve others.
