Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course pushed me to learning to speak another language and understand it spoken to me, which I never knew would be possible. The answers were not spoon fed to me, which helped me learn on a deeper level by figuring a lot out on my own.

    Course highlights:

This course was very thorough in Spanish and Spanish-speaking courses. Not only did I learn the basic words and phrases of Spanish, but I learned a lot about their culture. There were several activities on paper and group activities to help practice.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advice you to stay determined! Starting off may not be the easiest thing, but the more you learn the more you'll be interested in this subject! It will bring you out of your comfort zone and you will feel so exciting knowing how to carry on a basic conversation in Spanish!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Knowing another language, specifically spanish is important because of the large population of hispanic immigrants that live in the United States today. This course will give you the basic knowledge that you may someday need. Plus, if you can put that you know the basics of Spanish on a future job resume, you are more likely to get hired, because companies need employees that know how to communicate with Spanish speaking customers.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to read and write in spanish. By the end of the course, i knew conversational phrases, and I had learned the basic spanish vocabulary.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you take time outside of class each week to review you vocabulary. Vocabulary is the key to spanish. Without having a thorough understanding of what words you are taught, class time conversation will be confusing and difficult.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking a Spanish course because it is very useful to know Spanish in life. Many jobs look for a bilingual speaker, especially a Spanish and English speaker, since Spanish is a very common second language in the United States. It is the second most widely spoken language in the world. Learning it could be a big step in a future career.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the interesting projects required. Projects such as researching jobs that require a bilingual employee and researching recipes from Hispanic countries. I learned not only how to speak and write Spanish properly, but also about the different cultures and foods in a wide variety of Spanish-speaking countries.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advice any student taking this course to truly put effort into learning this language. It is a very beautiful language to know and the course teaches so much in a short period of time, so make sure to be paying attention!
