    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this course because it was extremely hard with little success in the end. I worked extremely hard and did not feel successful at all. I did not enjoy the class and I learned very little.

    Course highlights:

I do not have any highlights of this course, and I leaned very little. I would recommend taking Spanish, just not at the same school I took it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study. Be prepared to work extremely hard and and try your hardest to retain the information given to you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a really great course that uses Vistas textbook. Very nice and easy!

    Course highlights:

The insight to Spanish culture was awesome and it helps you understand some of the language as well!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard and take time for studying. You will not be able to just whiz through.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Hernando teaches in a way that is easy to understand and fun to learn! She remembers how hard it was as a student, making her class and homework very doable in a busy schedule. But you will still need to work hard, because she wants her students to get the most out of her class.

    Course highlights:

I learned all the common introductory phrases of Spanish. I learned vocabulary of many topics such as sports, clothes, food, travel, numbers, weather, and more. It taught me how to form sentences properly with the different conjugations of verbs. Also, her beautiful Dominican accent helped me with pronunciation.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of the homework and take advantage of the help she offers in class. Try to find people, including other classmates, to talk to in Spanish. Flashcards really helped in learning all of the vocabulary.
