This class was tough.
I recommend this course because it teaches students new ways of writing and allows a student to express their creativity and creative side through stories and reading. AP Language is challenging allows students to think outside the box. As a student, you are able to analyze other authors and get an idea of what they are thinking and what is going through their minds. In this course one is able to read old and current literature. I love how challenging the course is and when someone takes the course they are actually learning how to write and get a better sense of what literature is.
The highlights of this course were the analytical essays we would have to write for all the essays we would read. During this course, almost everyday we would be given an essay about a story or question that asked us to state our opinions on the matter. For the stories we would have to write an essay that analyzed the authors form of writing--the style of writing, tone, and other forms they used to created their essay-- it was challenging for me in the sense that some of these essays overall were just hard to understand. I loved that fact that this course challenged me and allowed me to think outside the box. I was never a fan of easy classes just because I felt that I wouldn't gain anything for the experience. AP Language was able to challenge me beyond my abilities and showed me that I can be a great writer.

Advice for students:
The advice I would give students is to never procrastinate. You are given an assignment almost everyday. The good thing about the assignment is that they don't necessarily have a due date. So if you forget to do it you won't get penalized. However, the down side is that if you procrastinate, the homework will accumulate and when it comes time to turning everything all in, you will be swamped in hours of homework.
