Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

My professor, though I cannot recall her name, was wonderful. She is kind, supportive, and keeps the class interesting while you dive deeper into the world of computer science! It is a smooth yet structured introductory class that I definitely recommend to those who are interested in CIS.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights of this course was a project/field trip to the Computer History Museum in Mountain View. After the visit you were assigned to write a small summary of new things you learned about computer science from the museum. It was one of the most exciting, informational assignments I was given.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Manage your time well, this is not the type of class where you can procrastinate or do work at the last minute. Personal tip: when I took the class I set aside at least an hour to focus solely on the material given. If you do that you should be fine!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    M. Tilmann is by far one of the best college instructors you can find. She is so helpful and really makes sure you understand what you are doing.

    Course highlights:

Having an instructor who made time for her students was a nice change of pace. I learned how binary code works and began learning how to use advance programs

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just make all your deadlines. If you are having a hard time, don't wait until the last minute to say something. Once you notice you are having a problem, talk to Tillmann and she will help you out. But this is a class where you can not afford to fall behind
