Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Easily one of my favorite professors. He never says anything is a wrong answer, If you say something completely left field he tries to understand the text from your point of view and understand where you are coming from. Expect to be split up into small groups everyday and really hear some different opinions.

    Course highlights:

His text selection is really good from V for Vendetta to Malcolm Gladwell books.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Text to read is not overwhelming and really put a lot of effort into your essays. Effort & time! He is open to meeting on how to improve.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was the only English class I have ever enjoyed. Professor Treanor adds some philosophy to the material he teaches which makes the class fun. The class is set up to be pretty engaging and the class discussions really help with interpreting the books he chooses for the class. Professor Treanor is a cool guy and I recommend his class.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write a great essay from this class. Not just the typical five paragraph essay but how to really interpret the text of a book and use many quotes to really bring your interpretation of the text to life. One of the other highlights of the class was the philosophical aspect which challenged your mind at times and was fun to learn.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely read the books and stay on schedule with the reading calendar. Also, use many quotes in your essays and use an anecdote in the beginning of most of the essays. Lastly, attend every class and participate and you will be golden.
