Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I definitely recommend taking English 110 with Professor Scamahorn because he actively keeps the class alive. He never fails to make every topic at hand interesting through his humor, and because of his hilarious commentary, it helps students to remember the important analyses of readings/ideas.

    Course highlights:

We read A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, a book that I will always keep in my shelf. Professor Scamahorn not only analyzes this book with his students in a literal sense, but also gives us actual beneficial life lessons that college students can really gain from.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with your reading and take notes in class. These two things will guarantee success in this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Coming into ENG110 I wasn't really sure what to expect. Yes it is a required course and it's known that the course entails a lot of writing. However professor Starkey has managed to make the whole thing seem easy and very interesting. He's made me want to keep writing. He's good at connecting with the students and his instructions are very clear. If you ever need help or have any questions he always provides a quick response and his door is always open.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about academic writing. Things that I thought I knew before. The class has taught me more about writing that I ever thought it would and it's definitely been showing in my other classes. So great!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just make sure you do the work and don't procrastinate too much on the essays! As long as you give yourself time to complete everything, you'll be fine!
