Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I LOVE this class! My goal is to get into nursing and this course is perfect to help with that. The lectures are concise, the workload isn't too overwhelming, and I feel like I'm really learning. Pairing this class with BMS 146 (Human Form and Function) was such a perfect idea because the lectures sync up with each other and they give me a better understanding of each other. Remembering the structure of words is a little tricky but once you get the hang of it, even words you've never heard of are easy to define and figure out.

    Course highlights:

This course is perfect to start your path into the medical field. There is so much to remember between anatomy, chemistry, pharmacology, etc. - it can be so overwhelming. But this class is a perfect stepping stone into all of that. Once you learn how to deconstruct medical terms, everything will make so much more sense!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you can, get your hands on a medical dictionary! It will save you!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course for the overall educational enrichment that it offers. It is great for beginners just being introduced to medical language as well as advanced learners seeking to brush up on their knowledge terminology.

    Course highlights:

I particularly found it helpful the interactive learning modules that established repetitive learning activities to aid in memorization of the key elements of medical terms.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't hesitate to ask questions from the very beginning! The course is very fast-paced and it is easy to fall behind with deadlines if you don't establish good organizational skills from the start and seek assist from the instructor if clarification is needed.
