    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this class because it provides a basic foundation for all the formal aspects of Film. It's perfect for Film Majors or people that are just interested in movies. Plus you are able to view many classic films. I took the class and it inspired me and instilled in me a passion for cinema.

    Course highlights:

The best part of the course was when we analyzed different classic films. For instance we studied Extreme Long shots in Lawrence of Arabia. We analyzed the use of color and Meis en Scene in Apocalypse Now. We also viewed one of my favorite films, Blade Runner.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice is to attend all the classes and read the book. Also if you go to the textbook website for Looking at Movies which is (http://www.wwnorton.com/college/film/movies4/) you will be able to take practice quizzes for each chapter. If you do well on the practice quizzes you will do well on the Exams.
