    This class was tough.

I learned a lot about probability

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study every day and spend time away from electronics.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is doable if you have had adequate preparation in math and are willing to work hard! Dave Gilbert is a great instructor, and even though I took the class online I was able to visit him for office hours, interact with him via email, and overall learn a lot from him. If you're prepared to work hard and be challenged but learn some really interesting stuff, this is the course for you!!

    Course highlights:

I honestly believe that this course sharpened my analytical skills and helped me become more equipped for higher math classes, even though this is not a typical math class. There was just as much logical reasoning and memorizing formulas required as true math skills, but overall my brain was sharpened because of it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely work hard, do your homework, and prepare a ton for each test (there were three plus a final). I got an A by working consistently (don't fall behind, especially in the online version!), utilizing office hours, and really really preparing for the tests. Homework is easy to get A's on, but the tests are tough. Overall, great course and would recommend! Dave Gilbert is great!

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend Prof Gilbert he is a good understanding professor but if you don't do the work you will not pass.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course were his small cheat sheets he would let us make and use it for the exams.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just do the homework, come to class and ask questions when needed... you'll be fine.
