    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is challenging but he uses previous quiz/exams to make his texts... He tells students at the beginning that they can be found online so he expects that you'll study from them.

    Course highlights:

Learned a lot (like every kingdom/phyla of the animal kingdom.... The lab is really cool, you dissect animals and do a lot hands on.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Use CourseHero! Either that or join SBCC bio club and ask the students for old exams. They saved my life that semester

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is great and is like a walking encyclopedia of knowledge in all things biology. This course should be taken for biology majors, or people interested in learning of the origins of life and how we've gotten to where we are today from an evolutionary standpoint.

    Course highlights:

Dissections were definitely a highlight because they let you learn first hand how animals work and how their internal bodies look instead of just their external bodies. It's eye opening and gives a whole new meaning to the value of life because it makes you realize that life is complex and more complicated than it may seem and just the mere fact that we are alive is cause for celebration.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you take this class seriously. It isn't something you'd enjoy if you're not giving it your full attention because you will be stuck catching up he entire time so make it a priority to be punctual or even better be ahead of the game with assignments and studying.
