    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class hugely successful in improving both my writing skills and study tactics, as you really cannot miss a beat in terms of information and assignments without falling behind, which is pretty uncomfortable given the seriousness of the course in terms of its impact on your own personal knowledge and GPA.

    Course highlights:

I learned what was to be expected: the entirety of America's history. I already enjoy history, so I thought the course would have been slightly easier given that, but what really made the class was the enthusiasm my teacher showed for the material and his insistence on participatory discussions, which is where I learned the most.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it seriously. AP classes are no joke, but APUSH is a really intense class that's heavy on reading, writing, memorization, AND research so if you aren't willing or able to commit, I would not recommend the class. However, if you are taking it, remember to still have fun and not stress too much about it. Be sure to understand the DBQ and LEQ criteria before you take the test, and know what's required of you so you can prepare.
