    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

My experience in Mr. Garofalo's AP U.S. History course was wonderful! During this class, my eyes were opened to how events in history relate and formed the world that exists today. Mr. Garofalo is an incredible and objective teacher. I cannot thank him enough for the things he taught and his support in this class.

    Course highlights:

When reminiscing this AP U.S. History class, two main highlights come to mind. The first is the culminating AP test. While preparing for this test is stressful and frightening, this class properly prepares students for the test. Through the support of my teacher, I was able to score the highest score possible on the AP U.S. History test. The other highlight is the midyear essay assignment. This was a large and time-consuming assignment that required us to study a historical topic in depth. I studied the Cold War and was able to write one of the most rewarding essays I have ever written.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Students considering this course should be prepared to work hard. The AP U.S. History class is a college-level class. It requires time outside of school for study, preparation, and homework. It is imperative that students in this class turn assignments in time and meet deadlines with effeciency. Lastly, students in this course should love history and have an open mind.
