Worthington is very straight forward. He structures the class by first presenting a java application. He walks you through it while explaining new concepts. Then he gives you a new application using those concepts. You have two weeks to develop the application.
The two weeks left to your own devices and resources to create an application using his requirements. He's tests are hand written with open notes. This is great for testing memorization and whether or not you fully understood the concepts.

Advice for students:
Take it seriously! This is NOT a computer literacy course. If you slack, you WILL fall behind. This class is "hands-on". Meaning that doing the assignments is the actual practice. They are excersizes that test and strengthen your knowledge. His tests are FAIR. There's no reason for you to fail them.
