    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Fortini is a delightful combination of passionate and informed. I don't know what she's doing at my college, but I'm grateful she was there. I'd recommend you attend her course before she realizes she's far too qualified and moves to be a historian for the Smithsonian.

    Course highlights:

She made a point of giving us the point of view of the minorities as well as those who wrote history. She dispelled a lot of myths for me and was fine going on tangents. I learned that our founding fathers were just people with flaws, that elections have ALWAYS involved mudslinging politics, and that Rhode Island was a hilarious mashup of all the troublemakers.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Fortini is a toughie, so don't think you can get away with simply skimming passages before class. Study, study study!
