Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is something that could help you daily and in the future as psychology affects everyone. The professor was previously a therapist and has a lot of knowledge on the subject so she can help you understand and really grasp the material.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were learning about the subconscious and how we remember things or are still dwelling on things we do not even realize.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook thoroughly and take good notes, that is really the best way to understand the material and even after if you still do not understand ask the professor to elaborate.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Not only was the information incredibly interesting and valuable, but it was useful for your daily life as well. For example, you learned about your personal learning style which, if understood properly, can change the way you learn and study, aiding you in countless facets of life.

    Course highlights:

I learned about my personal style of learning, what my type of personality is and how this affects the way I think, feel, and behave. I also learned about how my physical makeup and physiology can dramatically affect my actions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need a willingness to work hard and a desire to learn. The key is to not get behind. From the first day of class to the last day it is important to continually be reviewing your notes, memorizing the material as you go along rather than waiting until the week of the test.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course. Mrs. Rouse is extremely passionate about the subject and teaches it in a way that is easy to understand and fully explains the intricacies of general psychology. She is very fair and reasonable in grading and is always ready to help. It also helps that psychology is a fascinating subject in and of itself.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of the course was learning about the Stanford Prison Experiment and how it translated later to Abu-Ghraib. This was a study done about a mob mentality and was eye-opening in how being in a group influences one's actions. Learning about the aspects of some psychological disorders was also fun to learn.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Really read the book thoroughly and learn the material. Whatever she talks about in class is important for tests and for grasping the concepts of the course in general.
