    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would reccomend this course for anyone interested in the way society works and how we interact with the world around us.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would probably be choosing any billboard and pointing out how it was either discrimatory or racist to our society. I learned alot about simple interactions that had so much deeper meaning.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed all you need is a good mindset and good work ethic.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because you are able to learn about relevant social issues that our society faces. The teacher is very enthusiastic about the subject and is eager for her students to get the most out of this class. The course required a lot of reading from a textbook and various articles. The class also includes watching various documentaries that are relevant to the subject being learned. There was a lot of participation required to get a good grade in this class but the topics are interesting and easy to talk to a large group about.

    Course highlights:

One highlight of this course is the Popular Culture Review Assignment. A student is asked to analyze a piece of popular culture (music, tv shows or movies) and write a paper on the sociological impact it has on society. Another highlight of class was the discussions that took place during a class period. If there was any confusion about the readings that were assigned for a certain class period that were not understood, the conversations that took place were always able to clear up any confusion.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class make sure to keep up with the readings. If the readings are done for every class, it makes it easy to participate in the class discussions that take place. Participation is about 10% of the students final grade so talking during every class is important. To study for the mid term and final, rereading the textbook was very helpful while briefly going over the articles that were discussed throughout the duration of the class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it helped me a lot not only in my social life but it also made me to love reading and know more about different kinds of culture diversities.

    Course highlights:

I learnt about group behavior, cross culture relations, ethnical issues and functioning of social institutions etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would like to give to students in this course or students wanting to take this course that they need to read a lot. It's not a boring course when you read but rather you learn a lot from reading the text book. And also take enough notes whilst in class to help you pass the quizzes and tests as well as the finals.
