    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course due to the quality of the professor. The material of the course was one of the most difficult for me to study, but the knowledge, helpfulness, and teaching ability of Professor Kintner made it possible for me to conclude the class on a satisfactory note. Her explanations and demonstrations were clear and understandable, which is to be commended for such difficult material.

    Course highlights:

The course was designed around student involvement on the whiteboards in that some classes were solely dedicated to cooperative board work. This was something unique to her class, and increased my familiarity and comfortability with the coursework. Some derivations and problems I was unfamiliar with or plainly did not understand became clear because of these class periods, such as the derivation for the gravitational potential outside of a hollow shell. Her aid, my on-the-spot work, and cooperative solving with other students helped the solution remain clear.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to work hard and spend many hours reviewing and studying. The coursework before exams was daunting, but the only way to understand and complete the material is to face it head on, to repeat solutions, and to ask for help.
