Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a great class! It really helped me open my eyes about how bacteria is everywhere and what the best methods of precaution are to avoid contamination, how to sterilize objects, and how to determine a kind of bacteria based on several tests. Also, i learned a lot about pathology and treatments of bacterial and viral diseases.

    Course highlights:

My favorite parts of this class were learning about pathology and learning how to figure out what two bacterias were mixed together in a sample. At first i was intimidated that i would have to figure that out but it was very neat and fulfilling to be able to figure something like that out using science! I learned so much from this class.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Use flashcards!! Or Quizlet is very veryyyyy helpful!! And stay for open labs :) you will do great!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Microbiology isn't an easy class, but Professor Tolli is always willing to help, if he sees that your trying.

    Course highlights:

Playing detective, and trying to guess what bacteria was growing in the agar.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to read from the book and the power points. Do all the study guides.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course with this specific professor. Go to class and you will get everything you need for the exams. The professor is also very open to answering questions and is probably one of my faves!

    Course highlights:

Throughout my educational career, I think I learned the most from this class. Not a day goes by where I don't relate it with something I learned from this course. Might sound crazy, but it's true. I am a bit more germ-aphobic too.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class, ask questions if you have any, and read over your notes and PowerPoint slides. You'll be set. I read the necessary chapters and found that to be very helpful, but all the answers to the questions on the exams could have been found on her slides.
