    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

For anyone who is genuinely interested in music, I recommend this course. First of all, it clears music credit for general ed AND its actually interesting. The professor is passion about the topic and makes the course fairly easy. You basically sit in lecture for an hour to listen and learn about music from the 1800s till modern time.

    Course highlights:

I found it interesting to see the influences of older music in modern. By this, I've learned how modern musicians like the Black Eyed Pea, Nicki Minaj, and Cher referenced their history by copying tunes all the way back to the blues era. I also found it interesting to see the rise and fall of Elvis Presley, and later the Beatles. It's really cool to see the eras of music integrating with each other.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take good lecture notes! And if you feel like skipping class or need to turn an essay late, email the professor, he will work with you to make sure you're still able to pass the class. He provides all the resources, and you get to listen to music all day!
