    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class shows an native mexican perspective about the conquest and the independence. With Mr Guaracha is an excellent professor you will be at every single class, he is a good story teller guy that knows how to share the history in an interesting way. Be ready to take notes and you will be getting a straigh A!

    Course highlights:

It is an important history class that describe two main facts about Mexico, the conquest from Spain and the Independence from them. This class show me how powerful was the Spaniards' army and how Mexican ancient people look at them like gods. This class also describe how the independence come out until 100 years after, and how all the characters influence in a way that contributes with the final act of independence.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Since it is a history class I really like to see videos from youtube to make a graphic representation of what my professor was talking about, so i think is a good way to get involved in the history if you use some other sources more than just reading. Also i tried many times to share to my family what I learned, so this helped me to retain more information.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mexican-American History is an engaging, exciting course for anybody interested in historical studies, Hispanic culture, or just some elective credits. There is a lot of reading and writing, as expected in a college course, but also many lectures that Professor Canedo fills with humor and insightful information.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the discussion board components of this course, as well as Professor Canedo's lectures.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay up to date with the assignments and readings, especially if you take the compacted summer course (like I did).
