    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Calculus was a great course and it has prepared me immensely for the rigors of college calculus that I will endure next fall!

    Course highlights:

I learned new ways to study for math and also ways to interpret information so that I'm not only learning the material, but understanding when and why it is used.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you pay attention in class, and go home and do extra research on your own in order to succeed to the best ability.

    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class for students pursuing a math-focused career because they are more likely to use the information gained from this class than other students.

    Course highlights:

I have learned what a derivative is and how to apply it to the concepts of optimization, related rates, and linearization. I have learned about the first derivative test as well as the second derivative test.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to ask questions if you do not understand something. Make sure you do your work and pay attention in class. Make sure to study throughout the year rather than cramming before a test.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class if you did very well in Pre-AP Pre-Calculus. If you were struggling through that prerequisite, then I suggest you at least attempt this class. This class is taught well; however, the concepts are a bit hard to grasp.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were when there are group quizzes; you get to work with your class and re-learn topics by getting it clarified from your classmates. I learned about derivatives, limits, optimization, and more calculus concepts this past semester.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are going to take this course, make sure to understand every concept. The concepts build on top of each other. Therefore, it is helpful to fully understand each concept in order to learn the new concept.
