    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would only recommend this course to those who love science. If someone is taking the medical route, I suggest they take this course in high school.

    Course highlights:

In this course, we did a lot of really neat labs. At the end of the year, we did a fly lab. The purpose was to see how traits were inherited. The course taught me more than just information about biology. It taught me how to read from a textbook because reading the textbook helps those who take the course. It also taught me how to time manage and come work on labs outside of class time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapter that goes along with the unit in the textbook. Read the chapter before and after the start of the unit. This will help students better understand what is being taught. Also, make annotations in the textbook while reading to help comprehension.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

While the course is very educational and interacting, Mr. Ham teaches very quickly and it may be difficult to keep up for some. Also, the primary reason why I choose to take this course is to preform and observe dissections which did not occur even once.

    Course highlights:

You get to learn a lot in depth about the way organisms function especially on a cellular level. It is very interesting and there are many real-life applications.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with homework and do not procrastinate.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class because you learn about your body and how it works. It is fun to learn about your body, disect things, and look at microscopic organisms.

    Course highlights:

A highlight of this course was disecting a worm. You learned how small and thin a worm was. You had to be very careful not to cut their insides when you cut through the skin. I learned that worms don't have a heart like ours, but their heart is five veins.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Complete your work on time because it'll be hard to catch up when you fall behind.
