Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Though I have never attended UC Davis, I can attest to it as a visitor and sibling of one if its alumni that Davis is quite an interesting UC that I am considering to attend in two years. Davis has a nice campus as well as good food and nice dorms.

    Course highlights:

My brother has thoroughly enjoyed his experience at Davis. The students are diverse, however predominantly Asian or Caucasian in my perspective. UC Davis may not be the right fit for me, but I believe is an amazing choice of university for many.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I love the campus. It completely different from the SoCal area. It's very cold at night which is great for those that love cold weather and it is also very eco-friendly. The campus has safe rides which offer rides back to your dorms in case you're out too late and you can get a free bike light from them as well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I really don't go off campus to eat but Downtown Davis is the best place to go eat outside campus. There is a variety of restaurants and places to socialize. Also students get discounts since Downtown Davis is right off campus. Students can walk there and enjoy the places there.

    Course highlights:

A lot of people like going out and socializing at night. That makes the school so much better because even though people study so much they still socialize and but make education their priority.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Some of the teachers are a bit of a hassle, but the overall experience in Davis so far is wonderful. I'd do it all over again if I could.Drinking is the only 'issue', even though it never really is. Usually with parties.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

A very accepting community - not known for hateful or disrespectful treatment of others. Many athletes, fraternities, sororities, etc. Despite the different groups of people, everyone is hardworking and studies generally come first.

    Course highlights:

Housing varies dramatically. You can find cheaper housing in less secure areas (near the railroad tracks, far from campus, etc.) or more expensive housing in more secure areas (residential areas, marketplace, near campus, etc.). Generally the most occupied housing are near "marketplace" type areas.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

where students are close to grocery stores, pharmacies, etc. as well as bus lines to get around. Daviswiki.org does a phenomenal job of outing bad landlords, promoting convenient/cheap/safe housing, and providing a place for subleasers. In general, a B.
