Not too easy. Not too difficult.

The class is very interesting and the grading is very fair.

I learned much about how to write in different registers and in different academic genres.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Write as early as possible, then edit later on. This will save you time.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class was one of the more helpful classes at UC Davis. The class teaches you the right way to add certain elements to your essay. Some of the topics were basic and completely bored me. For example, we spent a whole class period talking about where to add commas in a sentence. This course was a crash course to remind you of how to be a good writer. It is similar to the lower devision UWP 1 class however, you have more control over what you are writing about.

    Course highlights:

I loved Professor Glover. If you reach out to her she will literally help you break down your essay and help you get all of your ideas out. She's actually invested in your success. After this class I have a passion for writing and I really give her all the credit.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you will take this class in the future you'll get the best grade if you go to office hours. It really isn't a hardship and with Professor Glover it goes by quickly. Also, keep in mind you have to do one group presentation (not extremely formal). And finally, participate it is a huge part of the course grade and you don't want to get marked down just because you were not in class or not attentive!
