Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was fast-paced, which was something I personally enjoyed. The material can be challenging at first, but the professor and the TAs have plenty of office hours to accommodate to your schedule. This class focused mostly on doing limits and derivatives. To do well, you have to put a lot of time practicing problems.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was that I re-learned how to do limits and that the course wasn't dragging on. There was always something new.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It helps to have some basic understanding of calculus, and there is a lot of time needed to study and practice problems. Practice as many problems outside of class in order to do well in the midterms and final exam. Don't cram the night before.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course even if you already took AP calculus in high school because it really brushes up anything you might have forgotten. He teaches in a different method that I learned so it might be the same for others. The teacher expects you to go quickly and on exams he does not allow calculators which really makes you try even harder. He has two grading plans and you get to choose which one you want. he is very understanding, so if there is any question, concern or problem you may speak with him and he'll try to help as best he can.

    Course highlights:

I learned different approaches to different problems and that really helps because if there was something that you had trouble doing before you entered college, you might just learn a faster and easier method. Some of the highlights from taking this class was that the teacher every time he came in said the phrase, "good morning class. Happy (whatever day it was). Is it Monday today?" I could still hear his voice. It was just a really good feeling to know that he actually cared about his student's education.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the course!!! it will help you learn that every step is important for a reason. He'll let you know that you should do problems over an over again until you feel good about it.
