    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Savageau takes the time to explain each topic and provide sufficient amounts of examples in lecture. He also takes time out of class to help students even further.

    Course highlights:

I was able to understand previously harder math topics and enjoy what I was learning about.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework and go to discussion.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This was a good introduction to MAT 17 series. I had Vogler and he explained everything in a very clear manner which gave me a good step into MAT 17B. The only bad aspect of this class was using R studio and the overly complication worksheets in discussion. I didn't understand the purpose of it and it was really hard to complete if you had no idea what to do.

    Course highlights:

My teacher was the highlight of this course. We learned all the basics of Calculus, such as derivatives, rate of change, etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Figure out what your teacher expects from you in order to succeed. If your teacher puts practice problems online and expects you to read the textbook, do those. If your teacher is very reliant on class notes, use those.
