I would recommend it because it was an extremely interesting course with a number of fascinating reads. He is also a very fair and entertaining professor.
The highlight of the course was the readings towards the end of the quarter, particularly the reading The Citizen by Claudia Rankine. Not only did we discuss her writing style, but also the topics of race and discrimination that arose in the book, which are extremely relatable to the events going on in the world.

Make sure to do the readings, because there are 6 unannounced pop quizzes. This shouldn't be a problem, though, because all of the readings are very interesting.
