Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a fun introductory course, but don't let it fool you. There is more to come and you will be needing a strong stomach.

    Course highlights:

I loved the introduction this course gave me to all the specialty options this major offers.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this course before deciding what emphasis you want.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I enjoy the atmosphere of Davis. At first, I had a hard time adjusting because it was so different than the bay area, and it felt as if there was nothing to do. However, I have grown to enjoy that aspect of Davis, because it creates a great environment for college students.

    Course highlights:

I have no doubt that all my professors are greatly qualified and knowledgeable in their subjects, but from my viewpoint, half of them seem to be better researchers than teachers. However, after going to their office hours, I know that almost all, if not all of the professors here care about your wellbeing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

students are probably more close knit in their clubs and social groups because there is not much "touristy" things to see or do. The only thing I would complain about is, as a transfer student from a community college, it was hard to adjust to the teaching of professors at a university.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's somewhat competitive, but professors and fellow students are readily willing to help you out! There are also a bunch of resources on campus that help you out in your studies! There's a 24 hour study room in the library too.

    Course highlights:

There are hundreds of classes you can take at Davis. However, since it is a public university, many of the major and popular classes (Chemistry, biology, etc.) are pretty big in terms of class sizes. But once you get into your major-related classes it's much easier to get into classes and they're smaller.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My school is located in such a small city that it allows transportation a little more convienient. The beautiful environment on campus creates a peaceful atmosphere that is best for stuyding. Everyone in Davis is extremely nice, friendly, and helpful even to strangers.
