    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I found that animal science was not for me. I would recommend this course to those who are willing to go all the way with learning about different animals and not just wanting to learn about cat and dogs.

    Course highlights:

You learn about horse, cattle, sheep's, and swine. It is very fun learning about the different breeds and how to care for that particular breed; You learn how to milk a cow and how to shave a sheep.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you are devoted to helping animals and learning about dairy on your fist quarter. You should expect to learn about the various types of breeds of sheep, cows, and even fish.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a fun introductory course, but don't let it fool you. There is more to come and you will be needing a strong stomach.

    Course highlights:

I loved the introduction this course gave me to all the specialty options this major offers.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this course before deciding what emphasis you want.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I enjoy the atmosphere of Davis. At first, I had a hard time adjusting because it was so different than the bay area, and it felt as if there was nothing to do. However, I have grown to enjoy that aspect of Davis, because it creates a great environment for college students.

    Course highlights:

I have no doubt that all my professors are greatly qualified and knowledgeable in their subjects, but from my viewpoint, half of them seem to be better researchers than teachers. However, after going to their office hours, I know that almost all, if not all of the professors here care about your wellbeing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

students are probably more close knit in their clubs and social groups because there is not much "touristy" things to see or do. The only thing I would complain about is, as a transfer student from a community college, it was hard to adjust to the teaching of professors at a university.
