Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Doctor Ferriera has a refreshing way of explaining the complexities of cognitive psychology. She not only knows the material, she also teaches it in a way that will get you thinking and involved in the subject. Personally, I love cognitive psychology and I loved learning about all of the different aspects of it, but Dr. F made it all that more amazing.

    Course highlights:

I remember a lot about the language chapter because Dr. F does her own research in language. I was able to use this knowledge in my cognitive neuroscience class that I took the quarter after this course. A lot of the information I learned like the bottleneck effect in attention and that you remember something better if you attach meaning to it has stayed with me throughout my psychology career at Davis.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you take time each week to look over the material that was presented earlier. It's easy to take an exam and move on, but you'll need the information for later on. Pay attention in class and you'll learn so much more than what's on the PPT slides.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely love Professor Gibbs. I found her extremely helpful, open, and honest and would recommend her courseso to anyone.

    Course highlights:

Actually discussing the material during her office hours.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class because everything she discusses during the lecure can be on the tests.
