    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This was a great class, especially for someone who wants to know more about computers and programming but isn't majoring in it. Kurt is a really cool professor who is approachable, clear, and passionate about the material. Also, the exams are open note.

    Course highlights:

In the beginning you start off with microsoft office and learning how computers work. You also learn the basics of using Python to program as well as how to write in html for a web page. There is also a 2500 word research paper, but you are given all quarter to write it and the professor goes through the process in steps so it's not painful.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to your labs even if it is not mandatory, especially when you get to the programming portion of the course. Also study the lecture slides before the tests and understand them.
