I do recommend it since you get to learn a lot of things from the most caring and devoted professor.
The class covers some basic concepts on computer networks. For instance you get to learn how TCP and UDP work, and how they are deployed in the real applications. Also, the course is heavily linked to statistics. So it is best brush up on your stats skills.

The crucial thing is make sure you are not left behind in class. Because sometimes things become less intuitive and the professor, can't be able to explain them well. So reading the book or his lecture slides before class would help a lot.
