Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
If you're interested in physics or engineering this class is a must, and the concepts will make your life SOO much easier. Electricity and magnetism are especially reliant on having a good understanding of vector calculus. Class was taught at a good rate -- not too fast, not too slow. Quizzes and participation made the grades very fair, and it's just cool math!
Course highlights:
Div, curl, grad, all that jazz. Multiple integrals, changing coordinate systems, and most importantly: Divergence theorem and Stoke's theorem. The highlight of the course was Bob Guy's beautiful laugh, which causes angels to be born.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
If you are able to do the quizzes confidently, you are doing fine. If you find yourself struggling on the quizzes, you need to study more to be ready for the final. The class is very concept heavy, but not very computation heavy, so it's important you understand WHY things work if you hope to get a good grade.
