This class was tough.
Dr. Bautista is truly a master of physiology. His lecture style is straightforward and well-paced. He really cares about his students and makes sure to answer questions extremely thoroughly in office hours.
I learned so much more than I thought I would compared to NPB101. This course goes way more in depth and gives you a much better, mechanistic understanding of how the cardio and respiratory systems work. Unfortunately, since we spent so much lecture time on the heart, we weren't able to cover the renal system quite as much, but I still learned a lot more about the mechanisms behind how the kidney works.

Advice for students:
Don't be scared off by the "difficulty" of this course. The class average is usually a B. While the material is hard, if you are willing to put in the work and have an interest in learning physiology on a deeper level than NPB101, you will be happy to put in the work required to learn the material for NPB113.
