    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a very interesting class that really dove deep into abnormal psychology and all DSM-5 Disorders

    Course highlights:

I learned that everyone has some type of disorder and that they are all spectrum disorders on some level. It was very interesting to learn all the symptoms and how our treatments have developed.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY, STUDY, STUDY. She gives out outlines for each chapter - go to class and add to those guides with what she says in class. It's a lot of information that is thrown out at you but everything that is on the guides and is said in class will be on the test. If you study those ... and well.. you will do great int he class. Passed with an A. DO the extra credit paper!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Lecture—4 hours. Prerequisite: courses 1, 41. Descriptive and functional account of behavioral disorders, with primary consideration given to neurotic and psychotic behavior. GE credit: SocSci | SS.—I, II, III. (I, II, III.)

    Course highlights:

The professor is truly spectacular: renowned in her field, well-spoken and captivating, and offers many resources/opportunities to students. Through her e-mailed lists of suggested activities and readings, I actually got my first research experience as an undergraduate. She is an immeasurably great professor, and this is a wonderful course for anyone interested in learning more about the different ways the human mind's gears can turn.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Start on the reading and the final paper early: you don't want to wait until you have all your finals. I actually finished my paper four weeks into the quarter, and it took such a weight off my shoulders!
