Not too easy. Not too difficult.
This course was a great introduction into regression analysis. It will also likely help to get one familiar with R and put together some of the basic components of statistics together for a different kind of analysis dealing with data sets. Professor Alber posts all of her lecture notes online and they are highly important for the conceptual portions of the exams. In addition, homework problems are a good gauge of how the quantitative problems on the exam will be.
The most valuable thing I learned was how to constructs trends and models for basic data sets. By doing so I was better able to test whether correlation means causation.

Advice for students:
Practice each of the homework sets a few times prior to each exam, also make sure to scan the lecture notes periodically. Emphasize the rules and assumptions for linear regression and how they can be applied.
