Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a very interesting class to have, especially with this professor. He is very interactive with with students and he has some fun activities during his lecture as well.

    Course highlights:

My favorite topic out of the entire course was when we talked about dreams and the different stages of dreaming.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Actually go to the lectures because it is probably one of the funnest course you will take and read from the textbook if you don't understand some material or go to his office hours.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although it's an early class, Professor Altman knows how to keep her students awake! Her lectures are always engaging and thought provoking. She presents concepts in a way that are easy to understand, and she is always willing to clarify any confusion. I loved her class!

    Course highlights:

Professor Altman will occasionally teach material that students have requested because they show interest in it. My class wanted to learn about sleep disorders, the processes the brain undergoes during sleep, circadian rhythm, etc. and she modified the original schedule to include what we wanted. I enjoyed learning how fundamental sleep is in our everyday lives.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY LECTURE SLIDES. Professor Altman does NOT post the complete lecture online, so you need to make sure you're taking notes as thoroughly as possible. Additionally, do not count on missing lectures and still getting a good grade! Professor Altman gives surprise quizzes and takes attendance, so the more lectures you miss, the more it'll hurt your grade! At the end of the semester, if you're on the borderline, she'll use your attendance record to boost your grade. Talk about incentive! So, as Professor Altman says, don't be an empty seat!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Amazing professor. Engaging lecture. Sounds crazy but FUN 3 hour class, I truly looked forward to it. Didn't really keep up with readings but still got an A-, reading would definitely help though but if you can't keep up you should be fine with the lecture notes.

    Course highlights:

I became a psych major after this course. I loved the material. I was introduced to a wide variety of psychological subjects like social psychology, abnormal psychology, developmental psychology. All extremely fascinating.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

GO TO LECTURE. might be able to do ok/well without the book but it would certainly help to read. I did some of the readings went to lecture and got an A-.
