Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Daniel makes learning Java very easy, he takes it slow and creates labs that put what you should know to the test! TA's during labs are always happy to help you understand a certain code if you are struggling and that makes sure you don't fall behind, assuming you do the labs by yourself and have some academic integrity.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of the course include learning the basics of a new language. It is not required that you know anything about Java in order to succeed

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the labs by yourself!!!! If you don't do the labs with your own mastery of the subject the chance of you passing are very slim. Daniel recommends this at the beginning of the semester and it is very well true.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are planning to take CSE 20, you should take it with Professor Chi Yan D. Leung. He is friendly; he is happy to help you with your questions. The course is not so difficult. Weekly lab assignments are easy to complete, because of thorough instructions.

    Course highlights:

From this course, I learned the basic of coding in Java program. If you are interested in CSE, you should give this class a try.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is basic. To pass the midterms, you should remember how to code without the program running. On midterms, you are tested on codes you remember, such as how to use the code. It is best for you to remember the codes than depending on the codes in the program. So, make flashcards!!!
